These terms cover the website subscription from Yungu Digital, an independent web design studio run by a sole trader in New Zealand (“we”, “us”). By asking for a free preview or paying for a subscription, you (“you”, the business) agree to them. We've tried to keep them short and plain.
1. Free homepage preview
- We'll design your homepage for free so you can see it before you decide. There's no obligation to buy.
- One free preview per business, with one round of changes before you pay.
- The preview link stays up for 14 days. After that it may be taken down.
- Until you subscribe, the preview design belongs to us. Please don't copy it or have it rebuilt elsewhere.
2. What the subscription includes
- A website designed from scratch for your business (no templates), with 3 to 5 pages.
- Hosting and an HTTPS security certificate, kept online by us.
- Your domain: if you don't have one, one available .co.nz or .nz domain at the normal registration price, registered in your name, with renewals paid by us while you're subscribed. Premium and second-hand domains aren't included.
- Basic Google and AI search setup.
- 5 content updates a year — small changes like text, prices and opening hours. Unused updates don't carry over.
- Buttons that link to booking or ordering platforms you already use.
Not included, and quoted separately if you'd like them: booking, ordering, online store or payment systems built into your website, memberships, customer logins, CRM, automatic quotes, staff dashboards, AI chat, automation, custom software, and redesigns or new pages beyond the plan.
3. Price and payment
- The subscription is NZ$361.35 a year (about NZ$0.99 a day), paid one year in advance.
- It renews automatically every year until you cancel. We'll remind you before each renewal.
- We're not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged. If we register in future, GST will be added from your next renewal, and we'll tell you at least 30 days before.
4. Going live
Once you've paid and we have the information we need, your website goes live within 3 working days. Delays caused by missing information or by third parties (for example, a domain transfer) don't count towards this.
5. Cancelling
- You can cancel anytime, by email or WeChat. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
- The year you've already paid for isn't refunded, except where the law requires it. Your website stays online until the end of that paid year.
6. Who owns the website
- The domain is yours from day one.
- After 24 consecutive months of paid subscription, the website is yours: we'll hand over the site files and help you move it if you want to.
- Before then, the website design and code belong to us and are licensed to you while you're subscribed. If you cancel before 24 months, the website goes offline at the end of your paid year, and you keep your domain.
- From year 3, you can keep the website with us for NZ$50 a year, or move it anywhere.
7. Your content
- You confirm you have the right to use the text, photos, logos and other material you send us, and that your business details are accurate.
- If you send us a website you like, we'll take inspiration from its style and layout. We won't copy anyone else's words, photos or logos.
- Until you have your own photos, we may use properly licensed stock photos.
8. Keeping things running
We use reliable hosting and look after your site, but no website can be online 100% of the time. Some things are outside our control, such as domain registries, hosting and email providers, Google and other platforms.
9. Our responsibility
- As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem happened, and we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits.
- You're buying this service for business purposes. As far as the law allows, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 doesn't apply, and we both agree this is fair and reasonable.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change affects you significantly, we'll tell you in advance, and it will apply from your next renewal.

These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
